Dr. Marc Tetro is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has been awarded the Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Tetro is a member of a number of national and regional medical societies including The American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
Upon completion in Orthopaedic Surgery residency, Dr. Tetro completed two years of subspecialty fellowship training, including the Washington University School of Medicine Hand & Microsurgery Fellowship, along with additional training in shoulder and elbow surgery at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He is the author of many scientific articles and book chapters on disorders of the hand, shoulder and elbow disorders and their related surgical techniques.
Dr. Tetro’s clinical interests include all disorders relating to the hand, shoulder and elbow. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery (arthroscopy) of the shoulder, elbow and wrist. This includes arthroscopic reconstruction of the shoulder and rotator cuff, elbow arthroscopy, and wrist reconstruction. In addition, he specializes in peripheral nerve surgery and routinely performs the endoscopic carpal tunnel release. He treats patients with fractures, tendon, and nerve injuries, including microsurgical reconstruction.
